Who We Are

We are a group of Christians that live in a world of sin. The Word tells us that even though we live ‘in’ this world we are not to be ‘of’ this world (1 Corinthians 6:5). So, as a church family we live to encourage each other in our walk. We meet regularly for times of fellowship. We compare these times of fellowship to a car needing gas. The car can only drive so long before it needs refueling. Our time in the world drains us of our spiritual connection to God. We need times of assembly and fellowship to recharge our batteries. During our assembly times we will study the Word. On Sunday’s we meet around the Lord’s table to remember the greatest sacrifice ever made on our behalf. We will sing songs of praise to our God and songs to encourage and lift each other up. We will pray together and give a freewill offering to help support our local ministers, our local work and our missionaries overseas.

We do our best to follow God’s Word and use it as our standard to guide our lives. The words of Christ and His apostles are our authority today. We believe that we must have His authority on our side as we teach a lost world. The saying of “Have book, chapter and verse” is very near to our hearts. We represent Christ in this world so whatever we do or say we do it in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:17). We want to be an example for the world of what Christ would want us to be. We are not the only Christians in this world but we are only Christians.
