I would hope that no one would have mistaken me as saying Work is bad from last week’s article. I was not saying that at all. I was only saying that too much work is bad, especially if it is taking away time from God. If work were a bad thing to do, he wouldn’t have given Adam anything to do before the first sin, but he does... “The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” -Gen. 2:15

I realize a lot of you have really busy schedules in your life. Your schedule may include 8 hours of school each day, 4 hours of part-time work at night, 2 hours of homework, sports practice, sports games, 100 hours required community service, and somewhere in all of that you have to fit in eating and 8-10 hours of sleep.

I have heard a lot about politics this year, this time of year, and it seems the closer we get to voting day, the more it escalates. Some try to persuade others to vote one way or another. Some may discuss the “issues” at hand. I realize that most of you (targeted readers) are not able to vote this election, but I’m sure you have your opinions formed anyhow. Whether they’ve been given to you by your parents, friends, or you’ve managed to formulate your own opinions... it’s most likely that you have them.

Tony Keith is a financial advisor, as well as an elder here. He says that he can tell what’s important to a person just by looking at what they spend their money on. You may not have much money, but something you do have to your advantage... is time. I’m pretty sure you can tell what’s important to a person when you look at what they spend their time doing (outside of work or school) as well.
